How to play

Start Baccarat by telling the bot Play Baccarat. You can then bet optionally giving an amount between 5 and 1,000 to bet, and specifying whether you want to bet on the player, banker, or a tie. If you bet on the player hand and win it pays even money, betting on the banker hand results in a 5% commission, and betting on a tie hand pays 8 to 1. Point values for cards are 0 for tens and face cards, 1 for aces, and the point value for 2-9. To get the total for a hand, you add the values of the cards in the hand and take the right digit to get a value between 0 and 9. For example, a 5 and a 7 would be a total of 2. Both players are dealt two cards and the dealer automatically plays both hands. If either hand totals 8 or 9, the round is over immediately. Otherwise, if the player has a total of 0-5, they draw otherwise they stay. The banker's action is a little more complex. If the player stood, the banker hits on a total of 0-5, and stands on 6 or 7. Otherwise:

  • Total of 0-2, the banker draws
  • Total of 3, banker draws unless the player's third card is 8
  • Total of 4, banker draws if the player's third card is 2-7
  • Total of 5, banker draws if the player's third card was 4-7
  • Total of 6, banker draws if the player's third card was 6-7
  • Total of 7, banker stands

Say read high scores to hear the leader board. Good luck! When you are done with the game, say no when asked if you want to play again and your progress will be saved.
